Smouldering

Smouldering ash

Come Lord Jesus come

Come breath on us

Come blow the ash away of complacency

Come breath your life back into those coals

Life back into our relationships with you

Come Lord Jesus come

Reading Acts 2 in the Message, “Without warning there was a sound like a strong wind, gale force… It filled the whole building. Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread…” That day about three thousand were saved.

Come Lord Jesus come

Thank You

Amen

Easter Is Not Cancelled

What if this virus is preparing us for end of the world? Where would we spend eternity?

Easter is coming, it’s hasn’t been cancelled like everything else. Let us take this time to remember what happened. And Easter happened for each one of us.

Look into Jesus’ eyes, he was innocent and yet he took our sins upon himself. He was mocked and beaten, they put a crown of thorns on his head which dug into him. Imagine the pain he was in. They made him carry his own cross, then they crucified him. They put nails through him.

Jesus died for us, for our sins to be removed from us. We have a choice, choose life or death?

Please read the whole of Romans 8, verse 1-2 says “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

John 20:31 “But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.”

You have this amazing opportunity to give your life to Jesus, to stop going down the path of destruction. Reach out your hand to him, he is waiting.

You can read the Easter story in Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. If you’d like to chat about anything, please message me.

Lots of Love Theresa

Lockdown, 1 week in

My husband keeps showing me the map of the world with all the red dots in varies sizes over the countries, reflecting the spread of the coronavirus.

I wish we had a Christian app like that to see how many Christians there are in the world. To see the numbers growing day by day.

We as Christians have a duty, not just to stay at home! The same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead is living inside of each one of us. Romans 8:11 We have power in the name of Jesus. We need to rise up, this battle is not against flesh and blood. Put on the full armour of God and pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Ephesians 6:12-20

Please pray Christians, I challenge you all to pray. Pray scripture. Pray as the Lord leads. Pray in tongues but please pray.

Family and friends need your prayers, your staff need your prayers, health care workers need your prayers, government officials need your prayers, South Africa needs your prayers, every country of the world need your prayers.

Lord please forgive us and heal our land! You are our God who does miracles, we need a miracle today Lord God. Please come and remove this virus from all of the countries of this world. May we bring you glory through this.

Your kingdom come your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

Amen

Take Me Through

I just feel like crying…I don’t know why

The clouds are turning grey

The night is turning cold

Lights begin to glow

As the sky begins to darken

Everything looks so mystical and yet gloomy.

My spirits are low

My life looks empty

My heart is crying.

I need You Lord

To come into my life

I need You to fill me up

The dark clouds are pushing me down

My spirit is reaching, searching, grasping for air.

A bright light

A warm glow

A power so great

And strength so glorious

Lord, my King of Kings

My Father

My Saviour

You are the one, the only one for me.

You are my life.

My heart is so full of joyous thanksgiving

there is no room for depression.

I love You Lord

You are so good to me

You pick me up and lead me on to greater things.

I love You Lord

You are always by my side to guide me through to the brighter side.

I love You Lord

You give me new life.

You are my life.

I – me – you – we, together as one forever!!

I Need You Lord

I need to feel your powerful hand touching my back.

I need to hear your fearful voice filling my ears.

I need to see your glowing glory right in front of my eyes.

I need fulfilment of Your Holy Spirit to take hold

of my entire body.

I need You to hear my praise

I need You to hear my prayers

I need You to hear my thanks

I need You to forgive my sins

I need You to see my life

all the bad that’s growing dull

and all the good that’s growing wild with

Joy, Laughter, Happiness, Peace, Friends, Love and You.

I need You to see the love

that I have for You !

It is so great and it is still growing in full force.

Thank You Father for been part of my life.

Everybody needs You, The Lord, The Great King.

1 John 4:8

Worship

We come to the seashore and stand with our arms crossed, the stubbornness of man. “The sea is not going to knock me down!” Wave after wave our feet start to stink. The stubbornness can leave us as the joy and the pleasure starts to rise.

Let us let go of all we are trying to do, all we are trying to hold on to and let us let God do what He needs to do, in us and for us. Let us lift our hands in worship, total freedom and surrender.

Thank you Jesus. Come and have your way.

Exodus

Please read Exodus 6:5-7, the Israelites were slaves, they had to work, work, work and they were complaining, which is understandable. God lead His people out of Egypt, out of slavery but even on the journey, they were complaining. Continue to read, Exodus 14:10-14, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Exodus 15:22-25, 3 days later, grumbling again because they were thirsty but God changed the water so that it was fit to drink. One and a half months later, the whole community grumbling again, due to lack of food, wishing to go back to slavery for it. Exodus 16 The Lord rained down bread from heaven and there was a test.

Do we follow instructions? v22 On the sixth day, gather twice as much v23 “This is what the Lord commanded: ‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy sabbath to the Lord…'” v28 “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?…” v30 “So the people rested on the seventh day.”

Exodus 17 The people quarrelled later again about no water.

I believe there are 3 morals in all this: 1. We have enslaved ourselves to our work. 2. We need a day of rest. 3. We need to stop complaining, grumbling, quarrelling and pray and trust God in all things.

Hebrews 4:9-11 “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following their example of disobedience.

Balance

During our Body & Soul exercise class in the one routine, we stop and do heel raises with our palms up. I was reminded how in our busy lives, we need to stop, breath, be still, get our balance right with our relationship with God.

Please read Psalms 46:10 and Philippians 4:4-9

1 John 4:19

A Zip

A runner on a zip can slide up and down on one side but serves no real purpose, it’s like us doing our own thing. But once it’s connected to the other side, once we connected to God, we can do what we’ve been called to do. We can do His will, we have purpose, we have a job to do, we are whole. Let us stay connected to God all the time, in the good and the bad. Singing praises to Him no matter what.

Love You Jesus. Amen

1 Corinthians 6:17 “But whoever is united with the Lord is one with him in spirit.”

1 Corinthians 6:19 “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your bodies.”
