Shelley Mattinson

Currently a resident of Mtunzini, KwaZulu-Natal, qualified Graphic Designer, Multi Award Winning Artist and Art Space Facilitator at the studio, Shades of Trees.

Having been born and raised on a farm in Entumeni, West of Eshowe, nature has always been a part of her.

Her passion is Zululand culture, local fauna & flora, portraits and mark making. Her main aspiration is to bring all her graphic design knowledge into her art using various mediums. Pencil; pen; watercolour and acrylics are her favourite mediums but, she loves to play in all mediums and try out new ones constantly. Many of her art works have sold locally & internationally.

Creative Art Journalling is a major part of her art world and she begins each artwork with a journal research page or pages, recording as much of the artwork process.

Her signature style is her contuinous monoline drawings which she stumbled across while warming up her eye hand observation before each artwork session.
