Alone

The hours draw on

as the mist settles thick

between the building

between the trees

and it feels as though

it is even in my bedroom.

The candle flickers from the

nights gentle breeze

But the glow is still

bright and strong.

Street lamps are on

Flat lights are on

But they all look so

distant and eerie

I feel so alone,

so desperately lonely.

Lord, my God

I know You are The only for me

and I worship You with all my heart.

Fill me with Your powerful presence,

So I may know Your heart.

So I may not feel so apart.

Psalm 139

My Life

I am not alone and yet I feel lonely.

I hear all the night noises,

And I Thank The Lord For His Creations.

I see a room filled with earthly possessions,

And I Thank The Lord For Providing.

I feel the cool night breeze,

And I Praise God’s Mighty Name.

I touch the softness

and warmth of comfort,

And I take shelter under His wing.

I’m afraid and scared of what

the future holds,

But I put my trust and faith

In The Lord.

For He Is The Mighty King of all Kings

The Creator of Heaven and Earth.

He is my Lord, my God,

my Heavenly Father

And I LOVE HIM.

I give my life to Him!!

Psalm 91

Lava of Love

Lord, may your church rise up and take it’s rightful place.

Luke 11:33-36 No one lights a lamp, then hides it. Put it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light…

May the Holy Spirit rise up inside each one of us with Passion & Praise. May your church erupt like a volcano, may people see and know you. May your lava of love flow down the mountain, into the streets, into the people’s homes, into people’s hearts. May people’s lives be changed forever.

Matthew 5:14… “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden…let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

The Well

Good, you go to church. You get water at the communal well but once a week isn’t enough. This is not religion, it’s a relationship. How do we develop a relationship, by spending time together. Genesis 29:2

Genesis 21:30-33 Dug a well, planted a tree and called on the name of the Lord, the Eternal God.

Genesis 26:24-25 “…Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bless you…Isaac built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord. There he pitched his tent, and there his servants dug a well.”

Call on the Lord and stay in that place, live in that place. Digging a well takes time, takes effort, but oh the joy that it brings.

Isaiah 12:3 “With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

There is refreshing, his blessings are new every morning and our reward is eternal life. John 4:6-26 Jesus tired from his journey sat down by the well and the story of the Samaritan woman, please read. Jesus said, “whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” “…true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks…”

Game reserve

Going to the game reserve, there are huge benefits to arrive at sunrise. You see animals that you don’t normally see. Perhaps they nocturnal and they heading off to go sleep somewhere.

I feel the same about having a quiet time, earlier, it’s quieter. There are less distractions and interruptions. You seem to have more time before all the daily responsibilities demand attention.

Set your alarm. Make the time and if you need to go to bed earlier, do that too!

There are huge benefits to spend time with God at sunrise.

Mark 1:35 “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” 28 May 2020

Pruning

I had to prune the leather fern in our garden, so while I was cutting I was sorting. The perfect ones I could put in a vase in the house. The damaged ones were going on the dump to be thrown away. I also had to cut out the brown dead leaves.

Please go and read John 15:1-17 The Vine and the Branches. “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.”

Feast

I’ve been watching MasterChef Australia, I can’t explain why as I’m no chef, just a normal home cook mom with 3 other fussy mouths to feed.

It makes me see the meals we missing out on. The flavours exploding in our mouths. The different combinations, 5 courses, our kids are lucky if they get 2. A splash of this, a drizzle of that and it’s a designer meal. Hope your mouth is watering.

In Psalm 34:8 The Lord wants us to taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him.

Psalm 119:103 “How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”

In our quiet times we settle for a homely meal, one we’ve made up, normally in the shortest time possible with the lest ingredients. God wants us to feast in the Kingdom! It takes time for food to simmer or to roast…take time.

Holy Spirit, thank you that you are with us in these lives that we are living but we need more, we want more, we know there is more. Please lead us to the banquet hall every morning, where we may meet with you and feast.

Luke 13:29 “People will come from the east and west and north and south, and will take their places at the feast in the kingdom of God.”

Lockdown 1 Month in

Lord I can’t think of the future. I can’t plan or prepare. My life is all up in the air.

The children are home with schoolwork to do using books but also cell phones and computers too.

Our staff are not allowed to come to work and cause of this we all have to do quota. To clean, to wash, to mow the lawn. This is hard, it’s not easy, it’s emotionally exhausting.

I see the numbers rising daily.

I read your word, I study your scriptures, I trust you Lord through all of this.

Matthew 6:9-13 “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”

For Thine is The Kingdom, The Power and The Glory, Forever and Ever. Amen

Faith

Acts 3 in the Message, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!…In an instant his feet and ankles became firm. He jumped to his feet and walked… Faith and nothing but faith put this man healed and whole right before your eyes.”

Romans 10:17 “…Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.”

Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see…”(please continue to read), in verse 6, “…without faith it is impossible to please God… he rewards those who earnestly seek him…” Please continue to read examples of people of faith and may you be encouraged.

Romans 1:17 “…The righteous will live by faith.”

My Prayer

Lord I’d love to come deeper in and come out so different on the other side of all of this. Lord, please hear my prayer, please speak to me. Please revel your heart, your thoughts. Change the way I think, renew my mind. Please speak to the people of the earth, soften hearts, open eyes and change peoples lives. In Jesus name. Amen
