Dry Paths

At prayer meeting on Wednesday night I had a picture of the dry paths that the cattle have made along the hills on the side of the freeway. If we are not finding fulfilment in our quiet times, don’t keep on doing the same dry, dusty thing. Change it up, worship, walk and pray, write, read a different version of the bible or listen to the audio. Ask God to help you. In Body & Soul this term, Matty Mullins sings “The Great Unknown”, “I wanna break out, take me away from what I know…”

Psalm 90:14 Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.

God is Love

I – me – you – we, together as one forever!!

I Need You Lord

I need to feel your powerful hand touching my back.

I need to hear your fearful voice filling my ears.

I need to see your glowing glory right in front of my eyes.

I need fulfilment of Your Holy Spirit to take hold

of my entire body.

I need You to hear my praise

I need You to hear my prayers

I need You to hear my thanks

I need You to forgive my sins

I need You to see my life

all the bad that’s growing dull

and all the good that’s growing wild with

Joy, Laughter, Happiness, Peace, Friends, Love and You.

I need You to see the love

that I have for You !

It is so great and it is still growing in full force.

Thank You Father for been part of my life.

Everybody needs You, The Lord, The Great King.

The Candle

A pure round white candle

with it’s wick crying out.

A magical mysteries flame

catches the wick.

They fuse

and the flame grows from the candle.

So perfect in colour,

an electric blue

glowing golden.

So perfect in shape

reaching up for My Lord,

My God, My Saviour, My Father.

The wax forms a perfect ring

around the wick of flame

and as time passes

it grows.

Just like when we fuse with God,

we feel the Spirit

and He fills us.

He sets us a light,

turns on our flames.

Our flames reach for The Lord

Our wax rings grow

as we grow in faith

and prayer within The Lord.

This little creation brings warmth

as we can give warmth

to our family, friends, the church

and even the world.

The whole creation glows with power,

glory, strength, warmth and even love.

It does not matter how the winds

make it toss

and shrink it goes straight back

to that perfect shape.

Lord You Are Amazing

The things that you have created

are all so wonderful

and powerful.

They move me

and I Thank You

for all your creations

Your Love

Your Spirit

Your Glory

Your Warmth

Your Power

Most of all Just for You Lord

I Thank You I Love You.

The Moon

Then God commanded, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate day from night and to show the time when days, years, and religious festivals begin; they will shine in the sky to give light to the earth.”- and it was done. So God made the two larger lights, the sun to rule over the day and the moon to rule over the night, and to separate light from darkness.

The moon so huge and round glowing in the dark, looking just like another earth except so far away.

A few stars peak out and wink at me as I watch the hazy clouds get thicker. Everything looks so peaceful up in the sky, a magical blue, a glowing light and other little ones to kiss you goodnight. Slowly the clouds move through the sky hiding the moon from my naked eye. A beautiful ring is formed in the clouds from that tremendous light in the sky. The clouds grow thicker and flow faster by as they cover the moon before I can say goodbye.

Sacrifice

-Offering of something valuable to God!

In Genesis 22 when God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, he didn’t even question God, he didn’t argue.

He just got up and started preparing for it.

Abraham feared God cause he was going to sacrifice his only son.

Do we fear God in that way?

Honour God in what he’s asking you to sacrifice—He Will Provide!

And You will be Blessed!

And even your descendants will bless and be blessed

Because you have obeyed God!

Rock Climbing

Louie Giglio shared a story on a DVD about rock climbing.

Those guys Trust those little metal things pushed into rocks.

Their lives depend on them

They all in

Full weight of their bodies and all.

And the challenge he asked…

Do we Trust God like that?

Do we Trust Him with our ALL?

Lean back

Even with all our head tells us and all our bodies know how to do

Out of our depth

Not out of our own strength

Trust Totally on God

Trust in All and for All

With All

Total Trust!!

Heart

Why are our hearts important to God?

He does all the works anyway

God wants our hearts to be pure

Be intimate

Know Him deeply

Know His heart.

Communicate with your Father

Bigger Picture

I’ve been given an orange

For it to become fruitful

I need to bury it

It will grow and then bear fruit

From death comes life

The orange had to die

For another tree to grow

And bear fruit

and so the process continues.

Jesus had to die with our sins

So that He would rise again

So that we receive eternal life

We need to die to self

so that God’s life would be lived out through us

From Death come Life!!

Stop with all our selfish needs

and wants and see the bigger picture

See God’s picture

See what God sees

Feel what God feels

The flower dies to bear berries

The fruit has to be opened and exposed

For the seeds to be seen

For the seeds to fall out

We die right now

We lay down our lives

All our worries

All our cares

The old flesh dies

And the new life comes.

My grandfathers testimony

My god was made of tin then the Holy Spirit convicted me of sin. I was miserable for some days and hoped to change my ways. I met a Christian man who told me of God’s plan. As I pictured Jesus on the cross to reject would be my loss. To Him I surrended all and felt my sins fall. I knew I was forgiven and would go to heaven. Born again to live in peace which only God can give. Many years have past and my love is steadfast For my Saviour, when we meet I will kneel at His feet. Seymour Mattinson

Set Apart

I was going through my old notebook from church services and I was reminded of going to the Victoria Falls on the Zambia side. You have to walk across a little bridge between mainland and the island type pinnacle and you get so wet from the splash and spray from the falls.

It was refreshing. New Life. We are Set Apart.

Scary to take that step but well worth it.

Leviticus 20:26 You are to be holy to me because I, the LORD, am holy, and I have set you apart from the nations to be my own.
